Human rights activist and defender of Palestine Roger Waters' concert in Frankfurt was cancelled on allegations of antisemitism. Is this censorship and an attack on free speech or social justice for taking the anti- Israel rhetoric too far?
In the end, Roger Waters' concert took place at the original date and time. The city of Frankfurt decided to back off under threat of a lawsuit. There was a small protest before the gig in front of the Festhalle in Frankfurt.
Groucho Marx once said that: "Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others." Spoken like a true politician from Frankfurt.
Frankfurt Oberbürgermeister Wahl - Mayor Elections (2023)
This is a 5-episode series on the mayor elections in Frankfurt in March 2023. I created this for two reasons.
A, there was (and still is) no English language media service in Frankfurt - and for a city with a population of foreigners of over 30%, that is a ripe opportunity.
B, when I was reading up I noticed that some of the most established journalists and editors in town didn't bother reading the election programs and were making biased and halfwitted prognoses on who would win. Guess what: they got it completely wrong.

The Colour of Water (2016)
This is where it all started.
The Colour of Water is my university dissertation that I filmed alone in Uganda. The film explores the water pollution crisis in the lake Victoria and the surrounding land.
This was awarded with a National Union of Journalists Prize in 2016.
It is quite dated, but a good reference point.
